We have been working with Cyd and CS Accounting, helping us grow our business globally since we set up UltraMAP in 2013.

Cyd helped to get us started, initially setting up our accounts in Sage and doing our annual returns, but she’s also been there to help us regularly with a diverse range of issues ranging from “where does this go in Sage”, to with holding tax in Oman, to reclaiming VAT from the German government , to R&D credits and more.

Quayside Court is a block of 18 self-managed flats. The directors are from a range of backgrounds none of which include the accounting, legal and business management skills available from CS Accounting.

CS Accounting were appointed as accountants and business advisers. This relationship has grown to include, administration, record keeping and dealing with external bodies. We have experienced a considerable reduction in payment arrears. We also have advice on the interpretation of legislation and guidance on requirements. CS Accounting give us prompt and professional dealings with external bodies, e.g. small claim courts, solicitors, Companies House and we have better record keeping and prompts to do things. They provide a friendly personal service and have become involved in the organisation and attend the AGM.

Approximately two years ago I was informed by my previous accountant that he was due to retire and although I was concerned I realised that it was a wake up call for me. He was decent enough to refer me to another accountant who he said had availability. I contacted CS Accounting as suggested and it was agreed that the account would be taken over.

Running a small business I find myself having to do almost everything, this can take its toll on my personal and professional life. It was with great relief that over the weeks CS Accounting began to organise a system that suited us both, not only simply but efficiently.

I was consulted every step of the way and advised to embark on a computer programme especially for VAT, that being SAGE ONE accounting. I was amazed to find that only one crash course with my accountant helped to get organised. Within weeks I was able to use the programme efficiently enough to send my quarterly VAT return knowing that because the information was shared on a daily basis, any mistakes could be rectified immediately thus saving time and embarrassment.

I have known Cyd for a little over two and a half years since she came to  us, highly recommended, by a member of our club to take on the role of treasurer. At the time we were in dire financial straits due to previous mismanagement.
